                            Judging

                            Picture
Our Judges include an impressive collection of professionals specializing in a variety of the Fired Arts and Crafts Fields.

The judging for this show is based on the point system from the International Ceramic Association. Each entry begins with 300 points and the judges deduct points in areas where improvement is needed. Any entry receiving 300 - 270 points is awarded a first place ribbon and is eligible to compete for the top awards. These are the top quality and are usually near perfection.

The judges that attend our show receive a small gratuity, which does not cover a majority of their travel expenses. They leave their businesses and families in order to be a part of our show. All of their training, which also involves traveling, is at their own expense. It is sometimes a tiring and thankless labor of love, which often results in criticism from those for who they have one their best.

We would like to take the opportunity to thank the judges. For, without their dedication, we would not be able to have a competition. We would also like to let the judges know how important they are to our competition and would like to encourage each of you to let the judges know that we realize how much effort goes into their job.
